Jocelyn's Talks
From Boomers to Zoomers:
Building Collaboration Across Generations
"Ok, Boomer." Cancel culture. Adulting. The Gen Z Stare.
Navigating today’s multigenerational workforce can feel like stepping through a minefield, and true collaboration can seem like a distant dream.

In this lively, interactive keynote, we’ll unpack the defining events, values, and preferences that shape each generation’s worldview. You’ll gain practical insight into how shifting beliefs about work fuel both tension and innovation, and learn proven strategies to bridge communication gaps, reduce friction, and harness the strengths of generational diversity to drive organizational success.

It’s Not Them, It’s You
What Your Employees Can Teach You About Your Organization and Your Leadership
Are your employees driving you nuts? Do they have bad attitudes? Poor work ethics? Low ambition? Are they under-performing, calling in sick, coming in late? I hate to break it to you, but the problem isn’t them… it’s YOU!

In this funny, straight-shooting session, we will uncover the root cause of employee bad behavior. Together we’ll explore how leadership styles and organizational systems can unintentionally incentivize employee disengagement, and what we can do to change it. Be a leader that brings out the best in your workforce.
If We Know Better, Why Don’t We Do Better? Combatting HR Burnout
When the COVID-19 pandemic began in March 2020 it presented unprecedented challenges for HR. HR navigated health mandates, drafted new policies, and cared for the emotional wellbeing of the workforce. We became counselors and coaches and compassionately tended to the stress our employees were experiencing.
And now we’re exhausted.

Why are we so good at giving self-care advice to others yet so bad at following the advice ourselves? If we know better, why don’t we do better?

In this session, I draw on my experience as an HR leader, clinical social worker, and recovering burnout to challenge the beliefs that keep us stuck and to learn to put our own oxygen masks on first.
